Thursday 11 February, 2021 from 6:45 pm (7:15 pm start)
So next month the Sydney Anglican Church is excited to launch a new ministry: Living Faith - a ministry that encourages faithfulness in sexuality and gender - and we would love you to be part of it - because the issues of sexuality and gender affect us all.
At our launch event in February we will be sharing the vision of this ministry, how we hope to collaborate with churches and training institutions, introduce our ministry workers and pray that God will use this event to build up our churches and care for the marginalised.
One of our ministry workers said, "wouldn't it be great, if we see every single rector of the Sydney Anglican church came and stood in solidarity to this cause?" Will you come and be a part of this ministry?
Over the last year, we have been discussing how Sydney Anglicans can better minister to Christians navigating attraction to the same sex and gender incongruence.
We want to better hear the voice of our brothers and sisters with these experiences, and the voices of their family and friends.
We want to work closely with ministers and ministry leaders, not only in the Anglican church, but around Sydney, to pastorally care for their congregation, create an environment of welcome and discipleship, and provide biblical direction and nuanced care.
We want to equip future ministry leaders and local congregations to be theologically aware and pastorally sensitive.
